What are the opening hours of The Royal Stables?

We are open daily except for official public holidays.

Office timings: Saturday - Sunday 9am-6pm, Monday - Friday 8am-7pm.
Riding School timings: Tuesday-Friday 6.30-10am & 4.30-9pm, Saturday-Sunday 6.30-10am & 4.30-7.30pm

How can I register for lessons?

From what age can you begin taking riding lessons at The Royal Stables?

Designed for girls aged 6 to 12 and boys aged 11 and below, the Pony Club welcomes riders of all abilities, from complete beginners to advanced levels.

Meanwhile, Baby Pony provides pony rides for children aged 2 to 8, and the Pony Pals equestrian programme is available to children aged 4 to 5.

Do you sell riding equipment at The Royal Stables?

Yes, we offer a selection of equestrian clothing and accessories available for purchase at our Riding Café and Tack Shop, located within our vibrant Clubhouse.

What is The British Horse Society?

The British Horse Society provides an extensive, global industry-recognised system of qualifications, training and education. All our trainers are BHS qualified.

Do you have any special discounts?

Currently no discounts are offered at The Royal Stables, however we do encourage you to explore our exclusive membership packages.

What riding equipment is required?

A riding helmet and proper riding boots are mandatory for participating in riding lessons at The Royal Stables.

Is The Royal Stables closed during summer?

No, we are open throughout the year, offering riding lessons, health and wellness activities, workshops and more.

Our offices also remain open Monday to Friday from 8am to 7pm. Our Riding School is open Tuesday to Friday from 6.30-10am & 4.30-9pm, and Saturday to Sunday from 6.30-10am & 4.30-7.30pm.

Are men allowed at The Royal Stables?

Men are welcome to visit The Royal Stables and enjoy our facilities.

However, our equestrian memberships and riding activities are limited to women and children only, including boys aged 11 and under.

Can I visit The Royal Stables without taking riding lessons?

How can I become a member of BHS?

The Royal Stables is an approved BHS Training Centre and BHS membership is not required for individual participants to complete the Pony Stars and Challenge Awards.

However, please note that the awards are only offered to members of The Royal Stables. Please visit https://www.bhs.org.uk/ for more information.

Do you provide riding equipment?

For safety and comfort, we recommend that all riders purchase their own riding equipment.

Do you have a café where I can buy snacks and refreshments?

Absolutely. Specialising in healthy, nutritious and wholesome cuisine, delicious barista coffees and fresh juices, The Stables Café offers a unique farm-to-table dining experience that utilises fresh produce sourced directly from our plant nursery.

Bringing the freshest harvest straight to your table, our seasonal menus are thoughtfully crafted to showcase the quality and flavour of the ingredients grown on the property.

Recently renovated as part of our landmark refurbishment project, and surrounded by ancient trees and greenery, The Stables Cafe welcomes riders, families and wellness enthusiasts to relax in the bright and welcoming dining room, or out on our sun-kissed terrace, and savour breakfast specials, salads, sandwiches, cakes and much more.

Are you accepting horses for livery?

Can I lease a horse?

Designed for riders who are ready to take the next step in their equestrian journey, our leasing programme invites intermediate and advanced members to lease our professionally schooled horses for two to six days a week, and enjoy the freedom of riding in our arenas or along our forest trail at their own pace.

Each lease includes full access to our grooming areas, wash bays, and tack-up support, and riders are also welcome to combine their lease with private, semi-private, or group lessons, allowing them to continue progressing under the guidance of our experienced instructors.

Are the stables air conditioned?

Yes, our spacious stables are both air-conditioned and non-air conditioned.

Do you have veterinarian services onsite?

Yes, our on-site horse veterinarian provides both preventive care and emergency response treatments.

Do you host birthday parties and other events at The Royal Stables?

Yes, we certainly do! Making every birthday a magical occasion to remember, our children's birthday party packages include bespoke pony rides, personalised decorations, comfortable tables and seating, a premium sound system and full access to our well-equipped, nature-inspired playground.
